Introduction

The 'Luigi Divieti Posture and Movement Analysis Laboratory' operates within the Department of Bioengineering of the “Politecnico di Milano”. Instruments and methodologies are mainly oriented to the study of human posture and movement, and they can be easily employed to measure and evaluate whichever situation of living movement and artificial systems.

The Lab activity is articulated in several fields:

  • didactic: teaching within the course of Bachelor in Biomedical Engineering,
  • research: analysis and modeling of the motion system,
  • clinical research: measures of functionality, protocols and evaluation index on therapy and diagnoses, to aid the optimal therapy,
  • training: courses in advanced systems of rehabilitation,
  • advices and services: planning, to start and to support the laboratories management.
Moreover the systems of measure and the adopted methodologies in the lab are applied, easily and with large flessibility, to several fields, depending on the requests (motion capture, movement of sailors, sport performances, classical dancers...).

Manager of the Lab is Professor Marcello Crivellini.
Responsible of the Lab is Professor Manuela Galli.
