Research and collaborations

The Lab activity is primarily devoted to clinical research about motion system, and often it is related to rehabilitation field.

Main objectives are:

  • the quantitative evaluation of motion functional ability;
  • the evaluation of treatment effects;
  • the development of clinical protocols, parameters, biomechanical models able to help the rehabilitation program;
  • the improvement of knowledge about posture and motor control mechanisms;
  • the application of movement analysis in not-traditional fields.

The main topics we focus on are:

  • Cerebreal Palsy;
  • Lower limb prothesis;
  • Down Syndrome;
  • Osteoporosis;
  • Parkinson's disease;
  • Obesity;
  • Pregnancy;
  • Upper limb modeling;
  • Sit To Stand modeling;
  • Motion Capture.

The Lab activity is very important for clinical applications in rehabilitation and in general for clinical research about motion system (Orthopaedics, Functional Surgery , Rehabilitation, Neurology, Physiatry…). Collaborations with institutes, labs and firms are numerous in Italy and all over the world.
