Equipment and organization
The actual equipment
of the Laboratory allows, in absolutely not invasive way, the numerical
acquisition, the processing and the integrated representation of
kinematic and dynamic data related to the postura and to the movement
of subjects.
|
|
|
In other words of any
thing composed either naturally or artificially, or variously it is
possible to measure position, speed, angles, etc. Moreover, if equipped
of muscular system, EMG signals, derived forces and sizes (powers,
moments, etc.) and, if equipped of limbs to walk, turning out to the
ground and related sizes to the step.
That is possible by the interaction of several instruments and a
software that allows the representation and integration of all the
sizes.
|
Briefly the basic
instruments of the Laboratory is made up of:
|
|
An optoelettronic
System ELITE 2002 (BTS SpA), with 8 video cameras
and 100 Hz) that measures the three-dimensional coordinates of marker.
Some elements of catarifrangente material that has to be stuck by some
simple biadhesive in particular points of repere on the body of the
subject. The equipment measures the three-dimensional coordinates of
the markers and from there it is possible to calculate trajectories,
angular sizes (and therefore angles of flesso-extension, abdo-adduction
and extra-intra rotation of the main articulations), speed,
accelerations and to know in detail the kinematic of the movement of
the physical segment where the markers have been positioned.
|
 |
 |
|
A platform
of force suited to measure the system of forces exchanged to
the land. From the acquaintance of the system of forces exchanged to
the land and from the kinematic (by means of the ELITE system) it is
possible to calculate the moments and the powers to the articulations.
|
 |
|
An 8
channels telemetric electromiograph in a position to acquire
the electrical signal associated to the contraction by superficial
electrodes.
|
 |
|
A traditional system for the video shooting of the movement.
Position, movement
and the other sizes they are represented and outlined in the more
useful way (in the images: a report, a small skeleton, an Emg).
|
|
|
In addition to the
field dedicated to the acquisition of the experimental tests, the
Laboraty physical and functional organization
provides for two other fields: one dedicated to the data processing,
report construction, results analysis and their discussion, and another
more dedicated to didactic, training and seminar activity. This last
one takes shape as a real computerized classroom (20 seats) with logons
in network and Internet.
Systems of calculation and supports are available for data processing
(Silicon Graphics, PC, printers, scanners, etc) beyond systems for the
didactics and for theexposure (videoprojector, videorecorder, overhead
projector, etc).
